Born out of the MIT-Harvard Medical School Healthcare Innovation Bootcamp, the Global Health Track is a series of highly interactive modules designed for innovators and entrepreneurs who are compelled to address critical global health issues.Learn more at our webinar with co-directors where they discuss your questions about the Track.
At the end of this course, you will be able to:
– Understand the main specificities of global health markets from an innovator’s perspective, including market trends, global governance, and funding environments
– Apply the concepts and tools learned at the MIT Bootcamp to global health markets
– Understand critical health needs and the use of relevant data sources in a global health environment
In the past couple of years, we have seen countries adapt to the Covid-19 pandemic, creating new opportunities for entrepreneurs in health delivery to introduce innovative products and services or scale existing services to new geographies. Participating in these conversations will give participants an opportunity to learn from and engage with entrepreneurs, investors, providers and government representatives on identifying needs in the global market, testing and scaling solutions and finding the right international partners.
Over 5 weeks, you will engage with healthcare experts and collaborate with likeminded peers from around the world. Only open to MIT Bootcamp graduates, the sessions will be interactive, immersive, and challenging.
During week one, you will cover a variety of topics related to "Market Trends, Global Actors, Governance".
During week two, you will cover a variety of topics related to "Identifying Healthcare Needs and Data". You'll hear from healthcare entrepreneurs and learn about how they tackled their data challenges.
During week three, you will cover a variety of topics related to "Health Equity and Cross-Border Growth".
During week four, you will cover a variety of topics related to "Funding Environments and Growth and Exits". You'll hear directly from investors and have a chance to discuss many aspects of the startup journey from an investors perspective.
This highly interactive track is open to graduates of the Bootcamp. All sessions are designed to be fully interactive and involve active participation and teamwork from Bootcampers.
Learners will need to have computer and internet to access course content and live sessions.
8 highly interactive modules comprising lectures, interviews, panels, group discussions, and team presentations. Modules will be held Tuesday/Thursday each week.
Cost includes all course materials.
The Global Health Track will feature experts with a variety of healthcare expertise across many fields.
It will include presentations and interactions with: Githinji Githani, Group CEO of Amref Health Africa; Steve Davis, former President of PATH; Dessislava Dimitrova, former Deputy Minister of Health in Bulgaria as well as health entrepreneurs and investors.
