Admissions to the March 2022 Innovation Leadership Bootcamp are OPEN! Applying takes less than 15 minutes.
Innovation and entrepreneurship are best learned through practice! This self-paced course is designed for individuals who want to learn and practice how to find, create, and deliver value through innovation, at their own pace. You will learn principles central to innovation directly from MIT instructors: problem discovery, ideation, user innovation, customer sense-making, and more. You’ll hear from MIT faculty, entrepreneurs, and others from MIT’s diverse innovation ecosystem. In this non-technical online program, you will learn and practice foundational frameworks, tools, and techniques, enabling you to drive innovation within your organization. This course will take 10-15 weeks to complete, depending on your pace.
The goal of the Immersive Innovation course is to learn and practice creative, systematic, rigorous, and data-driven approaches to innovation developed and practiced at MIT so that you can apply them in your venture, group, or, organization. In 10-15 weeks, at your own pace, you’ll learn to identify an innovation opportunity, develop and deliver a superior solution, and select a business model to deliver value for a range of stakeholders.
Immersive Innovation is designed for busy individuals who want a practical introduction to innovation but lack the flexibility to accommodate the schedule of the team-based MIT Innovation Leadership Bootcamp. Whether you’re a student, busy professional, or startup founder – no matter your industry or background – this course can work for you.
We do not recommend this program if you have an MBA, have taken hands-on innovation courses as part of other graduate studies, or have extensive entrepreneurship experience - as this course may overlap with what you’ve learned or experienced in those courses.
The sessions are recorded versions of the live lectures from the online Innovation Leadership Bootcamps. You will learn from faculty, staff, and lecturers from within the MIT innovation ecosystem. Outside of the sessions, you will peer-review deliverables from fellow participants on your own schedule.
After completing Immersive Innovation, you will have learned and applied innovation frameworks and built the foundations of a new venture from the ground up, by yourself or in a self-formed team. Whether it’s your team in an organization or your own company, you will understand how to build and deliver a superior solution to your customers.
Immersive Innovation is designed for individuals who want access to the content and practical exercises of the Bootcamps, but require more flexibility than the Bootcamps offer. Learners in Immersive Innovation will have access to regular group-based office hours, but not the dedicated coaching by MIT entrepreneurs offered in the in-person and online Bootcamps.
